John Terry cannot resist his own sly dig at Leeds United after play-off failure

John Terry has jumped on the Spygate bandwagon after close friend Frank Lampard navigate Derby County past Leeds United in the Championship play-offs on Wednesday.

The Whites lost 4-3 on aggregate to the Rams four months after head coach Marcelo Bielsa admitted to sending a colleague to spy on Derby as they trained.

The story made global headlines and had died down until the teams face each other again for a place at Wembley in the play-off final, where Terry’s Aston Villa were waiting.

Derby’s progress is seen as revenge by some for being wronged by Bielsa and his spying in January, and as such it has dominated the Rams’ celebrations.

Numerous players, coaches and Lampard himself were seen imitating binoculars with their hands in the aftermath and even Terry has now jumped on board with the rest.

Derby’s assistant manager Jody Morris, a former Chelsea team-mate of Terry’s, posted a video to Instagram on Friday of the former England captain.
