John Swinney is set to give an update to the Scottish Parliament later today on the coronavirus situation across the country.
The Deputy First Minister and Covid Recovery Minister will address Holyrood at around 2.20pm where he is likely to speak about the number of cases seen across the country.
It comes as fears grow that the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow could lead to a spike in covid cases in Glasgow and beyond.
The latest data revealed that Scotland recorded 2,012 new cases in the past 24-hour period but no deaths were reported.
It means the death toll under this daily measure, of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days, remains at 9,293.
However, the Scottish Government noted that register offices are generally closed at the weekend.
The daily test positivity rate was 11 per cent, down from 11.1 per cent the previous day, according to data published by the Scottish Government on Monday.
