Jack Grealish will only get better as a player at Manchester City, according to new club teammate John Stones.
Grealish was unveiled at City this week following his £100million move from Aston Villa.
And Stones is predicting big things for a player he has faced in the Premier League and seen up close in England training over the summer.
After signing a new deal of his own, Stones was asked about the arrival of Grealish, with the centre-back full of praise for City's new record signing.
“He is an incredible footballer," Stones declared, as he predicted that Grealish will slot in well among the City squad both on and off the pitch.
"A raw talent and you can see that he is a bit fearless in how he plays and very direct. You only saw a little bit of him at the Euros but when he came on everyone was excited to see him and he came on and gave some vital assists at key moments.
He is a big game player, incredible person as well which, coming into one of the best dressing rooms in the world non-football wise, the characters we have here, he will fit in straight away. I am sure he will be looking forward to more success here and winning some silverware.”
Stones is also in the unique position of having trained with both Grealish and Phil Foden, and he gave fans an insight into what the pair could be capable of when linking up together.
He said: “Yeah they are definitely on the same wavelength. I can only describe it as if they are playing on the street. They have no fear, when they play they are full of happiness.
"They play so happy and they live for the game. They make it look easy for me and I wish I could do some of the stuff they do! I think if they can link up like they do in training from what I have seen at England, then it will be a scary thought for us to see what they can do. That is exciting for me to be able to play with week in, week out.
"Hopefully we can see him progress and improve as a player as everyone who has come here has improved massively as an individual and within a team. I am sure he is ready to get his teeth into everything and training.
"Settling is a big thing. He has come in two weeks before the start of the season. It comes thick and fast and you want him to settle in and get to know everyone which I am sure he will, so he can let his football do the talking.”
