John Stones expects Phil Foden to get even better after a breakthrough season at Manchester City that saw him named PFA Young Player of the Year.
Foden, 21, has been in the City first team squad for four seasons but it is only in the most recent campaign that he has become one of the most important players for Pep Guardiola and he starred in their Premier League title win and run to the Champions League final.
Where last year the Stockport schemer would have been a long shot for Gareth Southgate's European Championship squad, as the latest season progressed it became impossible to leave him out - even after his poor decision in Iceland that caused him to get sent home after his international debut back in September - and he is in with a shout of starting against Croatia on Sunday.

Stones, who is set to line up in defence for the game, has seen Foden develop at the Etihad and noticed the transformation over the last 12 months.
"It's difficult when you play with someone and you're a big fan of theirs which I am of Phil's and I see what a huge talent he is," Stones told UEFA. "You only want the best.
"It's been incredible playing with him this season. We've seen him blossom and grow into a man. He's 21 now, he's had a incredible season, and rightly so because of his own hard work and ability and raw talent which comes from within. I think he's only going to get better and better and I 'm excited to see that happen."
