John Souttar transfer latest as Stoke and Blackburn linked with move for star Hearts defender

Defender John Souttar is reportedly being tracked by a host of English clubs - including Championship sides Blackburn and Stoke.

The 25-year old, who has three Scotland caps to his name, is out of contract in the summer and there is likely to be plenty of interest in him, should he decide his future lies away from Hearts.

The Premiership centre-back, who has recovered from numerous injuries, could even team up with his younger brother Harry at Stoke if he makes the move to Michael O'Neill's outfit.

But the Daily Mail say there are a host of clubs interested in him, not just Stoke and Blackburn, and Souttar is set to have his pick.

Souttar was the subject of two bids over the summer with Stoke believed to be one of the clubs who made an offer for him.

His brother is attracting interest from Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa, Everton and Tottenham.

The report also claims Rangers are long-term admirers of Hearts' key man Souttar and could be tempted to bid for him in January.
