John Souttar says he hasn't heard much more from Rangers on a new contract - as he insisted he loves being at the club.
Souttar is out of contract next summer and manager Russell Martin admitted he has made his feelings clear on the matter after making the 28-year-old captain for last night's win over Viktoria Plzen.
Previous talks on a new deal for the centre-back stalled. In just a few months, other clubs would be free to open talks on a pre-contract deal for next summer.
Souttar insists he is still enjoying playing for the Ibrox club, which for him is the most important thing.
He said: “Look, I love this place. I love this club. I love being here. That's really all I'll say on the matter.
“I've not really heard much recently, so all I can do is train hard every day.
“Every day I step on the pitch, I enjoy playing for Rangers because I know how special the club is to play for.

"Every time I step on the pitch, I give it 100 percent, and I'm sure the rest will take care of themselves.
“Look, whatever happens, will happen. All I can say is, every time I pull on that jersey, I'm honoured, and that will never change. Every time I step on that pitch, I'll get everything.”
Asked if it was difficult to shift his focus from the contract stuff, he added: "Not really, to be honest. There's a lot on my mind about how we're playing, to be honest.
“I don't have much time to think about anything else. But as I say, look, I love being here. That’s the main thing.”
Martin had last night insisted it is not his job to deal with a new deal for the Scotland star, but that he had made his feelings clear to sporting director Kevin Thelwell.
It’s not my job, mate, so I'm really pleased about that," he said. "John knows how I feel about him, Kevin and the gang know how I feel about him, and I think he's been great.
"I think he's going to be really important for us. But on the contract front and all that, it will be dictated by John, by his agent, and by the hierarchy here. So I will keep giving my opinion for sure, but it's not my job to sort that stuff out, thankfully.
