John Simpson, the BBC's conscience-in-residence, has revealed the secret of bagging a wife 19 years his junior, reports the Mail. "In television, you get these ancient animals and they work with younger people," the 66-year-old world affairs editor said. "Then you get involved – my wife was my producer – and when you have a younger wife it wouldn't be fair not to let her have a child." Simpson's achievement is outstripped by that of his colleague, 72-year-old Question Time presenter David Dimbleby, who is married to TV producer Belinda Giles – 21 years his junior.
