John Ross, DeSean Jackson sound game to see who NFL’s fastest player is

It sure sounds like John Ross and DeSean Jackson could hook up for a race this summer.

Plenty of NFL stars will be doing so in the “40 Yards of Gold” event. But as one can see above, Jackson took exception to the Cincinnati Bengals wideout getting more votes than him in an “NFL’s fastest player” poll.

In the comments of that Instagram post, Ross replies to the challenge and sounds like’s ready for it. Plenty of other prominent NFL names chimed in, with even Michael Vick saying he’d love to see it.

At the 2008 NFL combine, Jackson ran 4.35 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Ross broke the event’s record with his 4.22 mark in 2017. But Jackson clearly isn’t a slouch even at the age of 32 after averaging a stunning 18.9 yards per catch last season.

Or written another way, this is one event every NFL fan should want to see this offseason.
