Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn insists footballers can't complain about fixture congestion when much of the country is stuck at home.
The Scotland international has played every minute for his side this season and had a starring role as his side drew 1-1 with Chelsea.
Several Premier League managers have complained about the hectic Christmas schedule, particularly in a year where the fixture list is even more rammed than usual.
But asked after his brilliant performance if he could do with a rest, the former Hibs man was having none of it.
With much of the country in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, the midfielder is just grateful to be able to do his job.
McGinn told Amazon Sport: "Not at all!
"I think during this tough year we as footballers have been very, very fortunate to be able to be doing what we love, to go to our work.
"Maybe it's a bit different with no supporters in but there are a lot of people in the country who aren't able to go about their daily routine and their business.
"So if it means playing a game every day we're happy to do it."
