John McAreavey and his wife Tara christened their son James over the weekend.
The Co Down man shared a sweet family picture from the occasion, captioning it: “Special day.”
John and Tara met after his first wife Michaela Harte, was tragically murdered in their hotel room while on honeymoon in Mauritius.
They got engaged back in October 2015 before tying the knot in a private wedding in front of friends and family in September 2016.
Upon announcing their baby news last year John said that life has been good to him despite the devastation he has dealt with since Michaela's death.
He said: "I think people, at times, think that when you have suffered the way that I have suffered, that maybe you just have to continue to be clouded by negative energy and you have to live your life a certain way, almost in victim mode, but the reality is that life has been very good to me," he told Pat.
John said: "I was able to find Tara and we’ve had a beautiful relationship and now we’re about to have an addition to our family and it’s just something that I feel so grateful for and I’m just so excited by that."
