Former England keeper Paul Robinson reckons John Lundstram would be a smash hit at Rangers if Steven Gerrard moves to sign the Sheffield United star.
The 26-year-old midfielder is available on a free transfer in the summer as his contract dwindles.
United want to deal him in but have so far been unable to match what the Scouser is looking for.
After a poor start to the season and the contract impasse, Lundstram barely played and was made available for a move in the transfer window.
But when an offer didn't materialise he was thrown back into the action and has now played the last six Premier League games on the spin, contributing to three wins.

And Robinson feels the midfielder, who Rangers have been persistently linked with for months, would be a perfect addition given the style of play adopted by Gerrard at Ibrox and should think carefully about his next move.
He told Football Insider : “Lundstram needs to be playing at a high level week in, week out if he wants to get a big move at the end of the season.
“It is difficult when you run your contract down if you have not got something sorted out. A lot of players in his position will already know the club they are joining next season, speaking from experience and to other players.
“If he is still trying to impress clubs at this stage he is running the risk of losing form, being dropped from the team or suffering an injury. That is always a big risk to take.
“I am surprised that the Rangers one has not materialised, I thought it was going to come to fruition. He would a great signing for Rangers given the way Steven plays.
“Lundstram needs to play things very carefully.”
