John Lundstram set for move as Rangers target's talks over Sheffield United deal fall apart

Sheffield United star John Lundstram looks set to leave Sheffield United after contract talks broke down.

Sky claim repeated offers have been rebuffed by the midfielder and a final proposal that would have put him in line with other senior stars has been rejected.

United will now listen to offers for the star, who has been linked with a move to Rangers, when the window reopens.

Lundstram can sign a pre-contract with teams outside England from January but if Steven Gerrard wants the star he will face serious competition.

Premier League sides Burnley and Crystal Palace have also been linked with a move for the box-to-box powerhouse.

Chris Wilder is a big fan of his 26-year-old midfielder and he's featured six times in the Premier League this season.

Ibrox sporting director Ross Wilson has already taken advantage of the club's ability to agree deals cross-border with the likes of Joe Aribo although any deal with Lundstram would be their most ambitious move yet.
