John Lundstram in Rangers transfer seal of approval as pundit gives Sheffield United contract update

John Lundsram would love to play for Rangers according to Gabby Agbonlahor as the midfielder's Sheffield United future remains up in the air.

The 26-year-old is out of contract with The Blades at the end of the season and doesn't plan on extending his stay at Bramall Lane.

Lundstram has been linked with a move to Ibrox among several other clubs and is free to talk to teams in January with six months left on his current deal.

And former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor reckons the chance to play for a club like Rangers would excite him as he can compete for trophies.

He told Football Insider: "He’s a quality player.

"I’ve heard he’s not agreed a contract, maybe that’s wages they can’t agree. If Rangers can pay the money that he wants then maybe it suits him.

"I’m sure if anybody’s got a chance to leave Sheffield United at the moment, the way they’re playing, I’m sure they would.

"Rangers are a massive club that I’m sure he would love to go and play for."
