John Lewis shares exciting Christmas news - and shoppers are over the moon

It doesn't feel like it, but September is now just a matter of days away. And as we all know, the arrival of September means we can officially start thinking about Christmas - a welcome distraction from the absolute JOKE that has been 2020.

But this year, John Lewis has beaten us all to the festive cheer, as the retailer has already launched its popular Christmas shop online.

The web store was launched earlier this week, and has already proven a big hit with shoppers.

On the site you'll find everything you could possibly want to fill your home with Christmas cheer.

The cheapest item on the site is a bag of dried scented fruit, which costs £5 There are also some pretty paper chains for £5 a packet.

For £6 shoppers can bag themselves adorable mini animal snow globes.

If you want to splash the cash, you can get a 7.5ft pre-lit Xmas tree for £850.

Speaking about the launch of the Christmas shop, John Lewis’s Christmas buyer, Jason Billings-Cray, said:   "Christmas always provides a reason for celebration and a welcome break.

"Understandably, it looks as if people are looking forward to and planning for it earlier than ever this year.

"Christmas celebrations mostly take place in our homes and we have seen how the lockdown has made people think more about their homes, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that people are already thinking about how they will decorate their homes this Christmas."
