John Lewis lists the next nine branches reopening next week

John Lewis has announced the next nine department stores it plans to reopen in the UK.

The department stores will welcome customers back next week on Thursday, June 25.

It means there will be 22 banches open in total after John Lewis reopened its first two stores since lockdown on Monday and a further 11 yesterday, reports The Mirror.

The next John Lewis branches reopening on Thursday:

Cribbs Causeway

Leeds

Liverpool

Milton Keynes

Newcastle

Peter Jones

Southampton

Tunbridge Wells

York

John Lewis's Bérangère Michel said: "We are taking a gradual approach to reopening to make our shops as safe as they can possibly be for our customers and Partners but this was a very welcome first step.

"Our first customers were really struck by the fact that they could still have an enjoyable experience and get the inspiration they wanted."

The store has put many measures in place to keep customers and employees safe, including people on doors to offer guidance, new protocols for the lifts and escalators and hand sanitiser.
