The John Lewis Christmas 2019 advert has finally been released and people are loving it!
In this year's ad, Edgar the excitable dragon teams up with his pal Ava to bring Christmas joy to a historical village who are apprehensive about Edgar's presence.
From accidentally burning a Christmas tree to melting a snowman, the adorable animated dragon can't contain his excitement when introduced to other people in the village - resulting in unfortunate mishaps.
It isn't until Ava, who's determined to give Edgar the perfect Christmas, gives Edgar a Christmas pudding to offer the villagers that he's finally accepted. Edgar gently sets the dessert on fire to thunderous applause and the advert closes with the message: "Show them how much you care."

After last year's Elton John centric Christmas ad which proved divisive, people are singing this year's John Lewis advert's praises and calling it a return to form.
One Twitter user wrote: "OMG...thank you #JohnLewis for bringing back the Christmas adverts we expect from you!"

Other users gushed over Edgar this morning when the advert dropped.
"It's only 7:43am & I'm already an emotional mess wishing I had my own #ExcitableEdgar," one user wrote.
