It's become one of those events which signals the start of the Cardiff Christmas shopping season.
It's when we know the festive season is almost upon us and today, the 2021 John Lewis Christmas shop has opened.
Inspired by British scenery, 2021's John Lewis Christmas shop was put together by the team overnight and threw open its doors to customers early on Monday.

There are themes like Gemstone Forest, Copper River, Blush Coast and Festive Fields and they all draw from the country's natural surroundings, both in the countryside and our cities.
They are inspired by the time spent by customers in the UK during the past year, with many people using the outdoors as an escape from what is happening in the outside world.
Cliff Vanstone, Head of Branch at Cardiff's John Lewis said: "We are so excited to be opening our Christmas shop here at John Lewis Cardiff / Caerdydd.
"Customers are certainly preparing for the festive season as searches for Christmas are up 40% on John Lewis.com in comparison to the same time last year. We have seven new festive looks to inspire decorating at home, which are all inspired by British nature from Snowy Mountains to Blush Coasts. We look forward to welcoming our customers to our second floor for a magical festive experience…Nadolig Llawen!"
Also returning for 2021 is the Quality Street filling station. Chocolate lovers and shoppers can have their tins personalised and choose from all the usual eleven Quality Street flavours plus the twelfth, brand new sweet, the Crème Caramel Crisp - which is exclusive to John Lewis.
