May 01--Julio Teheran silenced the Cubs' bats for seven innings, during which time he allowed two hits, struck out nine and walked just one for the Braves, who made the most of their five hits during their 4-3, 10-inning victory in front of 40,164 at Wrigley Field. Nick Markakis' sacrifice fly in the 10th ended the Cubs' win streak at four.
At the plate
Addison Russell's single to right in the ninth scored Ben Zobrist and tied the score 3-3. Dexter Fowler had two of the Cubs' six hits.
On the mound
John Lackey didn't figure in the decision after he allowed two earned runs, walked three and struck out two in eight innings for the Cubs.
In the field
Russell's error extended the Braves' two-run sixth inning, when the Cubs also turned a 4-3-6 double play. Jason Heyward made a diving catch in top of the fourth to rob Freddie Freeman of extra bases.
