John Kay, the true chief of reporters

I see that John Kay, chief reporter at The Sun, is to work on beyond retirement. According to a Press Gazette posting, he has been persuaded to stay on for at least another couple of years as a full-time freelance on the same pay. That comes as no surprise. He is a phenomenon. Every trainee journalist should spend a day of their lives listening to Kay working the phones.
