John Kavanagh confirms he will corner Conor McGregor in next UFC bout

SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh has confirmed that he will corner Conor McGregor in his next UFC bout.

The MMA superstar's return to the cage looks to be up in the air, but his head coach has now said he expects to be training him for his next fight.

Speaking ahead of Bellator London on June 22nd, where Kavanagh will be coaching John Redmond, Richard Kiely, Peter Queally and James Gallagher , the MMA supremo said: "I don't think [me cornering Conor] is in doubt.

"I'm sure I'll be there, we talk almost daily.

"He doesn't have a fight lined up yet but as soon as he does we'll get the old gang back together and starting plotting, training and I'm sure he'll steal the show again, which I've no doubt he'll do.

When asked if McGregor will make his eagerly-anticipated return in 2019, Kavanagh remained tight-lipped, saying "I honestly don't know.

"That's a question for Conor, he's got a lot of other stuff going on so I'll just be honest and say I don't know."
