John Kavanagh and his partner Orlagh Hunter are expecting their first child together.
The SBG supremo, and coach of Conor McGregor, announced the wonderful news in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
In a picture of his long-time partner Hunter and his dog his beloved dog Valko, Kavanagh shared the that the pair were expecting a baby boy.
In the Instagram post he said: "My boy with my soon to be boy."
And with a nationwide lockdown in place for the forseeable future, the couple can look forward to starting a family in the future as followers congratulated him.
UFC middleweight Elias Theodorou wrote: "Omg! Congrats to all of you! Nothing but health and happiness."
Bellator and SBG star Kiefer Crosbie, who recently welcomed a baby boy himself, said: "Nothing like it coach."
Kavanagh has also urged the public to follow government measures aimed at slowing the spread of Covid-19 in Ireland
Taking to Twitter last Saturday, he said: "Never has so little, been asked of so many, to save so many #StayHomeSaveLives #CoronaLockdown."
Meanwhile, Kavanagh's pupil McGregor has called for another General Election to be held in Ireland after the coronavirus pandemic.
Talks are continuing to form a new government, with Fine Gael and Fianna Fail meeting on Wednesday to discuss policy issues.
But UFC star McGregor wants to see another election take place when the pandemic is in the rear view mirror.
He posted on Twitter: "The last election Fine Gael were soundly beaten. With Leo resigning as Taoiseach.
"With how this pandemic gets handled, will likely change a lot of people’s minds and opinions.
"The only way is for a repeat election campaign, post Covid19."
