John Henry's personal phone call to Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool's Barcelona miracle

Liverpool owner John W Henry and chairman Tom Werner made a special personal phone call to manager Jurgen Klopp in the wake of the incredible Champions League fightback against Barcelona.

Two goals each from Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum helped the Reds overturn a three-goal first leg deficit for the first time in the club's history to send Klopp's side to Madrid against all the odds.

Liverpool sealed their place in the Champions League final for the second season running, and the Fenway Sports Group duo were delighted with the progress made by Klopp.

Linda Pizzuti shared a short clip of FSG's principal owner and chairman congratulating the German boss over the phone.

Warm words of 'happiness and gratitude' were exchanged after the Reds' sensational victory.

In a post on Instagram the wife of John W Henry uploaded a picture of the pair talking to Klopp and revealed how the conversation went.

The caption read: "John and Tom on the phone with Jürgen, thanking him for his inspired leadership and savoring the huge win together.

"Happiness and gratitude all around."

FSG took complete ownership of Liverpool in 2010, having won just one cup in that time, but they were now filled with Liverpool could bring home their sixth European cup in June.

Which of course they did with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham in Madrid.
