John W Henry says Fenway Sports Group are "always thinking about tomorrow" as he reflected on Liverpool's Premier League title triumph.
October will mark the 10-year anniversary of FSG's £300million takeover at Anfield, but the Boston-based group had just the 2012 League Cup to show for their efforts before a trophy-laden 14 months under Jurgen Klopp's management.
Since the beginning of June last year, Liverpool have won the Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup and Premier League, with Klopp overseeing the rise of one of world football's finest sides since taking charge in October 2015.
In an interview with Liverpoolfc.com, Henry said the club are always mindful of the next move at Anfield but said that FSG - and the club itself - are simply basking in their success at present as the afterglow from a first league title in 30 years continues to shine.
The Boston-based Henry did reserve a message of thanks to the club's fans as the Reds supporters, worldwide, celebrate their 19th championship.
Henry said: "One of the things that comes along with winning is immediately starting to talk about the future.
"We are always tomorrow-based. We are always thinking about tomorrow, but right now we are champions of England and that is all we are thinking about.
"To the supporters, I just want to say that you have waited a long time for this. And I know that we all have to celebrate responsibly but this really feels like the gift that keeps on giving.
"I think everyone on and off the field feels the influence of the fans every single day.
"Every morning, we know that we do matters and we know that we are going to be held accountable, but that, ultimately, is why we are all here."
