John Hartson wants Rangers to hand Celtic 10,000 tickets for Old Firm and makes 'nonsense' claim

John Hartson insists 10,000 tickets should be made available for Celtic fans at Ibrox.

Reports suggest the Hoops are set to be handed 700 briefs for the Old Firm derby on April 3.

It comes after previous clashes were played with no away fans after both clubs stopped giving their rivals an allocation.

Hartson reckons the move to 700 is not enough, and says it was the Light Blues who started the tit-for-tat.

The Welshman tweeted: “I would say stuff the 700 tickets. It should be 10,000 fans plus or nothing.

"If you're one of the 700 I would think of the other Celtic fans who are missing out.

"We all know who started this lack of away fans nonsense.”

The fixture in two weeks will be the first of a potential trilogy in April.

The pair face each other at Hampden in a Scottish Cup semi-final on 17 while the fixture computer will decide when the final encounter of the Premiership season will take place.

Given its significance to the title race, it’s likely it will be scheduled as soon after the split as possible, as has been the case in most previous campaigns.
