John Hartson gives emotional Celtic Hydro event verdict but Rangers hero can't resist Henrik Larsson dig

John Hartson showed his emotional side as he discussed reuniting with some of his old Celtic pals at a packed out Hydro on Monday night.

Hartson was joined by the likes of Henrik Larsson, Chris Sutton, Stan Petrov and Martin O'Neill as they shared old stories in front of 10,000 fans.

It was the first time in years that so many Celtic heroes from the late 90s and early 2000s had been under one roof and many remarked on a "special" night on social media afterwards.

But former Parkhead hitman Hartson took things one step further as he discussed the event on the Go Radio Football Show.

He said it was particularly emotional to see Petrov, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2012, back in good health and good form.

“It was emotional, it was really special," Hartson said.

“Stan Petrov was on there as well, obviously Stan’s had his health problems, it was good to see him back to full health.

“Martin (O’Neill) was in great form… but for the fans that were there, I don’t know if they want to call in and let us know what type of night they felt it was.

“But it really was an amazing night last night, I thoroughly enjoyed it."

However fellow pundit Craig Moore chimed in with a lighthearted barb at Larsson.

The ex Rangers man took aim at the Swedish legend as he brought up a crunching challenge he put in on the Hoops hero in an Old Firm derby in 2003.

He quipped: “Did Henrik ever talk about my tackle, did that come up in conversation?”

But Hartson was quick to bury it as he responded: “Not quite!”

Moore did pay his respects to some of his old rivals in the form of a classy tweet in response to Chris Sutton.

But the cheeky digs weren't done there as he asked Hartson why he didn't get a response.

Moore went on: “I thought I put a nice tweet out there, I saw some of them from Chris Sutton, I wished them a fantastic evening and gave my regards to John and Henrik.

"But I didn’t get any feedback..."

Hartson had the last laugh however as he reminded Moore of his substantial Twitter presence - boasting just short of 390,000 followers.

“It’s difficult to reply to nearly 400,000 followers. I do my best!"
