John Hartson reckons Ange Postecoglou is going to be a busy man in January - starting with a move for linked hitman Daizen Maeda.
Celtic have been firing on all cylinders since Postecoglou took the reins with new trio Kyogo, Jota and Liel Abada hitting the ground running.
It's been Kyogo leading the line for the most part, but Giorgos Giakoumakis has been a slow starter while Albian Ajeti is yet to win Postecoglou's favour.
It leaves a space for a new central striker and Maeda - who has 21 goals this season for Postecoglou's old team Yokohama F.Marinos - is a target.
The 24-year-old has been tipped to join Japan teammate at Parkhead and there is hope he can be a similar hit to the man who has 13 for the season already.
Hartson was speaking on Go Radio and Maeda's name appeared to slip his mind.
But he says he "wouldn't be surprised" if the Hoops got a deal over the line for the firing forward once the January window opens.
“Celtic will have recruitment people obviously looking all over," he said.
“They will be getting DVDs and videos and from scouts every single day. They’ll be looking at different players.
“They have to be because they have to be aware of what’s out there. Celtic being the global club that it is. And he can look at these players but if he doesn’t see them players coming in and being the right fit, then he wants to be the man to say: ‘Look, I’m not quite sure about that one.’
“There’s talk about another Japanese striker coming in. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got that one over the line in January.”
