Celtic legends Jackie McNamara and John Hartson dodged questions about their playing days and behind-the-scenes antics on Pointless.
The duo have collected their fair share of silverware and made a bid to lift the Pointless trophy on the popular BBC quiz show, in which the aim is to produce answers to questions that a surveyed audience has not already guessed.
In a special football-themed episode of the duo were asked by co-host Alexander Armstrong about their playing days together, when Hartson revealed that the duo were former Celtic roommates.
The Welshman said: "Jackie had been there a while and I arrived in 2001, and I was quite happy when Jackie said 'come on big fella, I'll take you under my wing and I'll show you the way'."
Jackie laughed to himself as Hartson took a trip down memory lane, before co-host Richard Osman quipped: "How many stories are behind Jackie's little laugh there?"
McNamara joked: "You don't want to know!"
On the show, the former Celtic stars cruised through the opening round with their snooker-themed answers earning plaudits from host Armstrong.
In the second round the duo got through the American geography category of 'any of the most populated US cities that have a U, and S or and A in their name'.
Hartson answered incorrectly earning a maximum 100 points with Naples, before McNamara answered Boston. He scored 18, and they made it through to the head-to-head round.
They would come within touching distance of the quiz silverware, but Rachel Brown-Finnis and David James sent them crashing out.
