John Goodman is either playing coy or somehow has no idea why "Roseanne" was canceled.
The 65-year-old actor broke his silence Wednesday in a video acquired by ET in which he said he's doing "fine" and doesn't want to "cause more trouble."
Goodman, who was brought back to life as Dan Conner for the sitcom revival, saw his show canceled Tuesday after Roseanne Barr called Valerie Jarrett, the former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, the baby of the "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes" in a tweet.
Asked for comment about "Twitter or anything," Goodman denied any knowledge of his co-star's misbehavior.
"I don't know anything about it," he said. "I don't read it."
Despite rumors that ABC might bring back some version of "Roseanne" without Barr, Goodman said he had heard no such speculation.
Barr has since apologized to Jarrett, who has advised turning the incident into a "teaching moment," but has since blamed Ambien for her racism and continued tweeting after a very brief hiatus.
"Roseanne" was also removed from Hulu, Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT after ABC pulled the plug.
