John Giles thinks that footballers should get vaccinated - not for themselves but for those around them.
The Republic of Ireland legend has spoken out about the issue once again in response to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's recent comments advocating for the Covid-19 jab.
Just 68 percent of Premier League players are double jabbed, while recent statistics published found that 25 percent of stars across the three English leagues have no intention to get vaccinated.
And the former RTE pundit has strongly backed the Reds manager's view on the matter.
"This is not a situation where you don't believe you should have a vaccination, like with other illnesses, and it doesn't affect anybody else," Giles told Off The Ball on Thursday.
"The problem with this virus is you are passing it on to others. It is not just about you. It is about people you are working with or playing with in a football sense.
"You can pass it onto them. So, it's not just about you!
He added: "I can understand people for certain religious reasons doing certain things.
"If it's not right, it affects them. But they are not passing on the illness to other people.

"In this situation, people are passing it on and they don't even know that they are passing it on! This is the problem. It's not just about the individual. It is about their colleagues in football and passing it onto other players."
It comes after Klopp offered his full support for Covid-19 vaccination in a rallying cry to other players and fans.
"I follow the advice of smart, educated people who know their field because they’ve dedicated their lives to it and have studied it," Klopp said.
"We are clearly moving back to stricter measures around the team environment and at LFC we are absolutely OK with that.
"As I have spoken about before, we have a very high take-up of the vaccine at our club and have done for a long time. It might be 100 per cent now or as close as is possible, so that’s important.
"I have no issue telling you I received my booster jab as soon as I was eligible and again that will be the case for many if not nearly all within our ranks in the coming days and weeks."
Giles reiterated his message that vaccination isn't just to protect yourself, but to also protect those around you.
"I'm still scared!" Giles said. "You read about it and even people who have the vaccination and all the various things can still pick up the illness.
"So, I still want to be very, very careful. I just don't see the logic... people just don't want to have it done. Funny enough, professional footballers have the biggest rate of not getting the vaccination for some reason.
"I think, maybe, it is because they are young and healthy, they feel that they are not going to die from it. But, the thing is, and I keep repeating myself here, they pass it onto other people who are not as lucky. So, I just don't get it."
