John Fury criticises "t*****" Jake Paul in scathing rant over fight talks with son Tommy

John Fury has branded Jake Paul a "clown" and a "t*****" in his latest rant at the YouTube star.

Fury's son Tommy is currently in talks with Paul over a renewed bout having been forced to withdraw from their planned meeting in December with a broken rib. Reports have indicated that the fight has nearly been completed with Paul's trainer Danny Smith claiming that the fight is '90 per cent' complete.

Fury Sr has now distanced himself from the fight criticising the "pile of s***" talks that have been underway for several weeks. “Quick video – People are mentioning me saying I am saying that there is negotiations in place for Tommy to fight this clown from overseas," he said during an Instagram video. It’s not true. I have nothing to do with this at all because it’s a pile of s***.

"I don’t like anybody who is associated with those people over there. They’re nothing but a pack of t*****s, YouTubers, and I’m not interested in it one bit in any way, shape or form. So people, hear this; don’t keep using my name saying I’m saying this or I’m saying that because it’s not true. I want nothing to do with this farce at all – not now, not ever.”

The young star's father has already been heavily involved with the fight build-up having clashed with Paul during the press conference to announce their previous fight last year. Paul has announced he will return to the ring on August 6 with an opponent yet to be named.

UFC legend Anderson Silva, Boxing legend Mike Tyson and Fury are all expected to be in the running for the clash, with YouTube show host Keemstar claiming that Fury has leapt to the front of the queue. Fury Sr previously claimed that talks were ongoing for the fight, with Fury having last fought in a comfortable points victory back in April.

Paul had previously indicated he was uninterested in renewing their long-term rivalry having claimed he lost "millions" from their fight collapse last December. However Paul's coach Danny Smith now believes a meeting with Fury is the right opportunity to pursue at this stage of his career.

“I'd probably say that we're around 90 per cent done but we're just waiting on their end," Smith told Vegas Insider. "We're good on our end. Whatever particulars that need to be worked out there end that's what we're waiting on. I think without question [ Tommy Fury is the right fight for Jake].

"I like it because Tommy is a very fast foot guy, very fast hands and he moves around and understands distance and range, he boxes fairly well. It's going to be really, really good. He's not a huge puncher, but decent, with the right hand he is pretty decent. I think that it's a really, really good step up for both guys to be honest with."
