March 20--Singer-songwriter John Fogerty's personal tour may be making a permanent stop in the Grand Canyon State. The musician of Creedence Clearwater Revival fame has paid $1.3 million for one of the remaining home sites at the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Set against a rock outcrop, the 1.38-acre parcel offers wide views of the surrounding vistas. Three pools, tennis courts, a spa and a 24-hour fitness center are among the amenities available to guests and residents of the Four Seasons.
The parcel came to market in 2013 for $1.595 million and entered contract in January, records show. It previously sold for $1.01 million in 2010.
Stephen L. Jury of Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty represented both sides of the transaction.
The purchase follows a pair of sales made by Fogerty in recent weeks. The rocker sold a Beverly Crest-area investment property for $1.475 million and a home in Scottsdale's Ironwood Village for $322,000.
Fogerty, 69, was the lead singer for CCR, which formed in the late 1960s and spawned numerous hits. He has nine solo studio albums, the latest of which, "Wrote a Song for Everyone," peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in 2013.
His "1969" world tour is scheduled to make a stop in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl later this year.
