John Floyd, the father of Fani Willis, testified in court today, providing valuable insights into his daughter's life and the events surrounding her relocation from her home in Fulton County. Mr. Floyd, a retired attorney with extensive experience in the legal field, shed light on various aspects of his daughter's circumstances.

During his testimony, Mr. Floyd confirmed that he had worked as an attorney, primarily focusing on criminal and family law cases. With a career spanning numerous states, including Washington, D.C., and even international locations such as the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, Mr. Floyd brought a wealth of legal expertise to the courtroom.

The court learned that Mr. Floyd moved to Atlanta in 2019 and lived with his daughter, Fani Willis, who had recently been elected as the district attorney for Fulton County. With concerns for her safety stemming from death threats and harassment, Mr. Floyd remained at his daughter's residence to support and protect her.

South Fulton Police provided security measures, including a patrol car stationed outside the house and regular checks for potential explosives. Mr. Floyd also took on the responsibility of maintaining the house and addressing incidents where offensive language was spray-painted on the property.

During his time living with his daughter, Mr. Floyd confirmed that he met her boyfriend, known as Deuce. This information clarifies the relationship dynamics within the household during the relevant timeframe.

Crucially, Mr. Floyd addressed the issue of Nathan Wade, a name that has emerged during the trial. He categorically stated that he did not meet Mr. Wade until 2023, contradicting previous claims made by the latter. Mr. Floyd had no recollection of encountering Mr. Wade prior to 2023, and he asserted that he had never even heard his name mentioned.

Mr. Floyd's testimony not only provided insight into the security concerns faced by his daughter but also clarified the timeline of events and denied any prior knowledge of and interaction with Nathan Wade. As the trial continues, Mr. Floyd's testimony serves as a crucial piece of evidence, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding Fani Willis and the events that transpired during her tenure as district attorney.
