John Fleck set to rejoin Scotland camp after positive Covid case as midfielder returns in time for Euro 2020 push

Covid victim John Fleck is set to rejoin Steve Clarke's Euros squad in the next 24 hours.

The Sheffield United man has ben cooped up in Scotland’s Spanish training camp ever since posting a positive test ahead of warm up matches against Holland and Luxembourg.

But Record Sport understands Fleck has now produced two negative results and has been given permission to return to the country ahead of Monday’s Group D opener against the Czechs.

Boss Clarke has given Fleck the option of returning to see his family before reporting back for duty at Scotland’s Euro 2020 tournament HQ in Darlington.

But it’s believed Fleck wants to get straight back into the camp after missing out on the final preparations last week.

Scotland will regroup at Rockcliffe Hall on Wednesday and Fleck is expected to be there on time to re-start training as the clock ticks down towards the big kick-off at Hampden.
