John Fleck's transfer message amid Arsenal rumours as Sander Berge heads to Sheffield United

Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck has issued a two-word response to suggestions that he could move on before the end of the January transfer window, amid links with Arsenal.

The Scottish international has impressed with the Blades on their return to the top flight this season, with Fleck netting five goals in 21 appearances for Chris Wilder's side.

One of those was against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month, and the Gunners have been linked with a surprise move in recent days to sign the Sheffield United man, with the Daily Mail reporting that Mikel Arteta's men were interested in the midfielder.

However, Sheffield United have posted a video of Fleck responding to suggestions that he could be leaving the club, as he made his way out to training with the Blades.

Everything you need to know about the January transfer window

In reply, Fleck said just two words: "No chance."

This comes as Sheffield United close in on a deal to sign holding midfielder Sander Berge from Genk for a club-record fee, with the Norwegian pictured alongside Wilder this morning ahead of the impending move.

The 28-year-old has been a key man for Wilder this season, helping the Blades to eighth place in the table after 24 games, with Sheffield United currently sitting on 33 points, three ahead of Arsenal.

The Gunners have made just one signing so far in the January transfer window, with Pablo Mari joining on loan from Brazilian side Flamengo.
