John Fashanu and DJ Locksmith in explosive Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins bust-up

Football legend John Fashanu had to be pulled off fellow Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins contestant DJ Locksmith after he started choking him in front of the camera team.

The 57-year-old former striker got excessive when he put 32-year-old Rudimental star DJ Locksmith, real name Leon Rolle, in a headlock.

Sportsman Fash saw read after the chart topping musician branded the footballer the weakest in the group, with scenes escalating in front of shocked fellow contestants and showmakers.

The lads had to be pulled apart by SAS instructor Ant Middleton, 39, while other contestants from the Channel 4 reality show looked on during a game of “murderball”, where the contestants competed for possession of a tyre which they had to flip over the rival team’s goal line.

The Sun reports Leon recalling: “He wasn’t able to control himself. I could see the red in his eyes. I could see his blood boiling.”

He continued: “So as I was going for the tyre, he threw me to the ground and got me in a headlock and wouldn’t let go, he starts strangling me. It was a bit uncalled for.”

John played down the incident, with The Sun quoting him saying: “I strangled him — that’s showbiz. If you put two known winners together at that level, you’re going to have an explosion.”

The current series of SAS: Who Dares Wins has a mixed bag of celebs taking part with former The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex and troubled former glamour model Katie Price taking part.

The Pricey has not had a fun time on the show, and has been vocal about her dislike of being make to participate in SAS style training exercises out in the wind and rain.

“I hate the cold, I have a phobia of water,” she fumed after being made to take part in the show in the wilds of Scotland.

The reality show veteran reminisced about previous show experiences on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! which is filmed in the Australian outback.

“The jungle was a holiday camp in comparison – there was definitely no time for any romance,” she said, referencing the marriage she had with Peter Andre that was founded on I'm A Celeb.

Katie quit the challenge after 48 hours.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues on Channel 4 on Monday at 9pm.
