John Eustace is the leading contender to become Swansea City's new manager.
On Wednesday evening, the Swans officially confirmed they had mutually agreed to part company with Steve Cooper.
Eustace swiftly emerged as one of the men in the frame for the role while the club's former Under-23s boss Cameron Toshack was also mentioned, although it's understood the Welshman has not been formally contacted over the vacancy.
And Queens Park Rangers assistant Eustace is now the front-runner for the Liberty Stadium gig.

Cooper oversaw the Swans' 2-1 pre-season triumph over Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night but left his post as boss fewer than 24 hours later.
The club have been considering candidates for several weeks given that Cooper's exit has been likely for some time, with the official statement confirming an agreement over his departure was made two weeks ago.
As things stand, club icon Alan Tate is poised to take charge of Saturday's pre-season fixture against Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.
However, Swansea could potentially officially appoint Eustace as their new boss in time for the contest with the League Two outfit.
Despite Cooper's departure, Swansea's current backroom team remain in situ.
Mike Marsh has been on compassionate leave and was absent from the friendly win at Plymouth, although he - along with the remainder of the coaching setup - remain at the club.
Changes could yet be made regarding the makeup of the backroom staff, although that most likely be dependent on the wishes of the new boss.
Eustace played for Coventry City, Dundee United, Middlesbrough, Stoke City, Hereford United, Watford and Derby County during his professional career.
He spent two years as manager of Kidderminster Harriers between 2016 and 2018 before joining QPR ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Following their clash with Bristol Rovers this weekend, Swansea take on Forest Green Rovers and Southampton before kick-starting their Championship campaign at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, August 7.
