John Delaney refused to comment on his position within the FAI as he left a Dublin hotel this evening.
The FAI board convened a meeting at the same venue at 11.00am and Delaney arrived shortly before 1pm.
Delaney - who is understood to have had legal representation for part of the meeting - had nothing to say when questioned by media in the lobby.
He was then driven off by a black people carrier that was waiting for him at the entrance to the hotel.
The FAI board meeting continued after he left.
