John Creedon posts hilarious snap after bumping into 'doppleganger' in airport in Scotland

John Creedon appeared to meet his "long lost twin" at an airport in Scotland recently.

The RTE star uploaded an image of himself alongside his "doppleganger" Liam - who says his friends even nicknamed him John Creedon due to the pair's resemblance.

The Cork man, 62, shared the selfie on Twitter, joking: "This is Liam (on the right).

"His mates reckon he looks so like me that they actually call him 'John Creedon'.

"They spotted me in Scotland yesterday and just had to do a 'double-take' selfie.

"Dunno.. if I thought I looked as good as Liam, I'd be in movies."

In a separate post, he added: "Fight facial recognition with a doppelgänger. (I was in arrivals and departures at the same time)."

The post sparked a huge reaction with his 30,000 followers, as it amassed over 1,000 likes. And some social media users even quipped that the two men should take a DNA test.

One person said: "I heard you mention this on the show. But WOW, he is your long lost twin!!"

A second user added: "Looks like your twin. You need a DNA. Could be related even going back years and years."

Several others simply commented "twins" while another said: "Separated at birth!"
