John Cena takes aim at WrestleMania 35 match as he trolls WWE superstar

WWE superstar John Cena poked fun at one of the WrestleMania 35 match-ups as he continued to troll Baron Corbin on social media.

Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is set to hang up his wrestling boots following one last appearance on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All' against Corbin at the MetLife Stadium.

The official announcement of the bout on the WWE website describes the farewell match as a chance for Angle to end his legendary career "on his own terms".

But the identity of his opponent has not gone down well with wrestling fans - especially as Cena was reported to have been in line to face Angle.

A match-up between the two WWE legends would have been more in keeping with the manner in which other superstars have bowed out.

Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, and Stone Cold Steve Austin all ended their careers in the organisation against a huge name.

It is clear that Cena would have welcomed the chance to take part in Angle's final match. The Cenation Leader made his debut against the Olympic champion way back in 2002.

And he trolled his WrestleMania 35 opponent as he posted a picture on Instagram of that bout 17 years ago with Corbin's face photoshopped onto his own.

It is not the first time that Cena has trolled Corbin on the photo-sharing site since the bout was confirmed.

But it is not only Cena who has voiced his displeasure with the match-up. Angle's wife, Giovanna replied to a tweet from Jim Ross labelling it "underwhelming" by saying: "Very".

She has since deleted that post and tweeted a clarification.

"Guys, it's pro wrestling," Giovanna worte. "Its [sic] like watching a movie. I'm no way upset with my husband wrestling Corbin.

"Lol I love having fun with yall. But It is really nice to see how many fans support Kurt on how he should be sent off."
