John Barnes reckons Liverpool aren't the Premier League runaway leader's because they have the best players - but because they have "more belief."
The Reds are eight points clear at the top of the table having won 12 and drawn one of their opening 13 matches this season.
From Alisson in goal, to full-backs Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho and the lethal front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool are thought to have one of the best sides in the league on paper.
But not according to Reds legend Barnes.
He thinks that Manchester United , Arsenal and Tottenham all have a similar level of player in their squads and it is Jurgen Klopp that is the point of difference.
Barnes told The Offside Rule Exclusives : “Liverpool haven’t got better players than Manchester United or Arsenal or Tottenham.
“What they have is more harmony, more belief, togetherness, and belief in the manager.”
The Reds have only kept two clean sheets in the Premier League this season but that has not derailed their title charge.
And Barnes says that the deficiencies at the back don't matter if the positive results keep coming.
“Of course, I'll be happy to win the league on 90 points this year, but I won't say that this is a better season than last season, if we lose three games and win the league on 90 points.
“It's an exciting time because we have now given Jurgen support. We trust him and we always have.
“When you have that harmony and togetherness, the fans, the Liverpool family or football family, generally speaking, you can succeed.”
