Johanna Konta will have to beat Elina Svitolina for the first time if the British no.1 is to reach the US Open semi-finals.
The Ukrainian has all four of the previous meetings between the two and is also vying for a first final-four berth in New York, two months on from a semi-final loss to eventual champion Simona Halep at Wimbledon.
Konta will become the first British women's player since Jo Durie in 1983 to reach the semi-finals at Flushing Meadows should she triumph on Tuesday.
