Heerenveen skipper Henk Veerman believes teammate Joey Veerman could be set for a move to Rangers this summer.
Steven Gerrard has been been linked with a move for the classy 22-year-old who has scored seven goals and assisted a further ten in the Eredivisie.
The Premiership champions have been named among potential suitors with the likes of Atlanta and Reims also chasing Veerman's signature.
Fellow Dutch side PSV were reportedly leading the chase for Veerman, but manager Roger Schmidt has claimed no club in the Netherlands can meet the asking price.
Namesake Henk believes the playmaker will be sold this summer and name-checked Ibrox on the shortlist of potential destinations.

Speaking to Dutch paper Voetbalprimeur about the impact of Veerman's exit on his own future, the captain said: “I’ve read things about Atalanta, Rangers, PSV, Ajax and AZ.
"I expect him to go to one of those clubs. I also think that Joey will add value for any club in the Netherlands.
”If things change enormously (at the club). That is a serious problem for me.”
