Well, it appears as if the Hauser Brothers saga is over and Michigan State ended up doing better than we all expected.
The Spartans landed a commitment from Joey Hauser, the younger of the two Marquette transfers. Hauser made the announcement on Twitter.
Joey, a 6’9 wing/power forward , was named to the All-Big East freshmen team after averaging 9 points and 5 rebounds while shooting 42.5% from three. He will have to sit out a year before he can be eligible to play at MSU.
The older Hauser brother, Sam, committed to Virginia.
The two were widely expected to transfer together to Wisconsin, until late last week when reports came out that Wisconsin was out of the running.
Michigan State recruited Joey out of high school. He was a 4-star prospect and top-50 player in the class.
