Joey Essex has baffled Celebrity Masterchef viewers tonight thanks to a weird confession he made about his love life.
The former TOWIE star, 29, said he had a girlfriend "sometimes" in the final episode of the first round of the BBC show.
Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace, 54, had asked him who he liked to cook for at home as he was making his salmon teriyaki for the first part of today's challenge.
"I cook for myself, myfriends. If I've got a girlfriend sometimes," Joey said.
And the strange comment left Gregg scratching his head, saying: "Did you say you had a girlfriend sometimes?
Joey looked embarrassed and tried to brush off his comment.
He said: "Yeah, well you just never know, do you?"
The reality TV star had viewers in stitches on Monday when he got his words mixed up in the kitchen.
Joey insisted he deserved a "Michigan Scar" for his meal, when he meant he'd earned a Michelin star.
The Essex boy previously dated Sam Faiers, with their on/off relationship documented in the early seasons of TOWIE.
They were briefly engaged and finally broke up in 2013.
Sam met Paul Knightley in 2014 and they soon went on to have Paul Junior and Rosie.
Joey's last relationship was with model Sabreena Diamond last year.
They were spotted on a string of dates but the relationship appears to have ended.
