Joey Essex has opened up about his romance with model Lorena Medina - and it sounds like there could be a bit of sexual frustration for the pair.
The 29-year-old reality star has been linked to 28-year-old model beauty Lorena since September 2019 and while he has said he is head over heels for the Mexican stunner, he admits they don’t have too much of a sex life.
Joey is based in the UK, while Lorena is an 11 hour flight away living in Los Angeles - and this has put a bit of a block on how often they are able to see each other.
Opening up about their sex life, Joey says he goes for weeks at a time without being intimate with his lover - and adds that in the past he has been celibate for months.
“How often do I have sex? At least once a month,” he told The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine - adding: “I’ve been without for three months before though. I’m not a sex addict.”
Joey also refused to say he is in love with Lorenzo - who he met while filming MTV reality show Ex On The Beach.
“Who or what is the love of my life? I can’t say who because that would be telling a secret. But I love my house - I’m proud of building it,” Joey said.
The former TOWIE star gushed about his romance with Lorena while appearing on Loose Women last November.
“We met in Spain. She’s actually from Mexico but she lives in LA. It's long distance. She flies back (to the UK) and I go there sometimes,” he said as he discussed his relationship with the model, two months after meeting.
He also described his girlfriend as “reem” while on the show - and added that “it’s all going good,” as he discussed the romance.
