Joel Ward: Tottenham’s attack is formidable but Crystal Palace don’t fear them

Crystal Palace will not fear facing Tottenham's "formidable" forward line, with Joel Ward confident the Eagles can trouble Jose Mourinho's side.

After a dismal run, Palace are unbeaten in three games and could welcome back Wilfried Zaha for Sunday's trip to Spurs.

Mourinho has a revived Gareth Bale to call upon and also handed Dele Alli, who played a crucial role in their win at Fulham last night, a second Premier League start of the season.

However, having tightened up at the back and with the boost of Zaha, Ward says there is no reason to fear Tottenham.

"Can we damage Spurs? Yes," said the defender.

"The likes of Harry Kane, [Heung-min] Son, Bale — those boys are formidable, but we take the confidence and momentum from [recent] games and, hopefully, we can put in the same kind of performance and come away with more points."

Meanwhile, US-based investor Robert Franco has injected funds into the £20million redevelopment of Palace's academy and has been listed as a person with "significant interest" in the club alongside chairman Steve Parish and American owners Joshua Harris and David Blitzer.
