Joel Klatt updates his weekly top ten after week 11

Another week of college football means another week of who thinks what teams rank where. After putting Ohio State, Alabama, and Clemson all on his top line last week in a tie, Joel Klatt gives a little more clarity after week 11.

The Buckeyes did exactly what everyone thought they would… at least in the first half, then seemed to take their foot off the gas in the second half. Clemson and Notre Dame had a nice battle with the Irish prevailing in double overtime, while Alabama was off this week.

With that in mind, Klatt had a little bit more clarity after Saturday night and re-ranked his top teams. Alabama came out on top with Ohio State right behind. Notre Dame jumped up to his three spot and a Clemson team that was without Trevor Lawrence and maybe, more importantly, several key defensive players, only dropped to No. 4 on his list.

Ohio State travels to Maryland next Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. EST tilt with the Terrapins who are looking good under first-year starting QB Taulia Tagovailoa. The Buckeyes then play a surprise Indiana squad in two weeks. Who would’ve thought, but Rutgers, Maryland, and Indiana might be the Buckeye’s toughest stretch of games. After watching Michigan and Penn State’s woeful starts to the season, it just might be.

On to week four… or twelve… I don’t know anymore.
