Joel Jackson who suffered 'attack' at Donegall Road flats returns home

A teenager injured in an alleged attack at a block of flats in South Belfast has returned home.

Joel Jackson, 17, was found unconscious in Ulidia House on the Donegall Road on Friday, May 3.

He remained in the Royal Victoria Hospital for several days, but returned to his home in East Belfast on Thursday.

Donegall Road 'attack' victim Joel Jackson will make a full recovery, family says

His brother Matthew told Belfast Live: "Joel's doing really well with his recovery, he's back home trying to get himself back to normal again.

"The response from the community has been great. Paul Corry at UKIP, Jackie from GLOW in Dundonald, NI Veterans and GAME in Newtownards all pulled together and got my brother an Xbox One and games to keep him going while recovering.

"We can't thank everyone enough for the support we have received."
