Philadelphia 76ers' star player Joel Embiid was held out of the team's final regular-season game against the Brooklyn Nets as a precautionary measure, according to sources. The decision was made to ensure Embiid's health and availability for the upcoming games.

Sources indicate that Embiid is expected to be ready for the team's next matchup, which will see the 76ers facing off against the Miami Heat in the 7-8 play-in game on Wednesday. Despite being the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia remains optimistic about Embiid's participation in the crucial game.

In the previous game against the Orlando Magic, Embiid briefly left the court due to concerns about his left knee. However, he returned to play the remainder of the game and was reported to have participated in practice the following day. The Sixers' coaching staff has been monitoring Embiid's condition closely to ensure his well-being.

Joel Embiid, the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, has been a key player for the 76ers this season, averaging impressive statistics in the games he has played since returning from a two-month layoff. Despite undergoing a procedure on his left meniscus earlier in the season, Embiid has showcased his talent and determination on the court.

The procedure on Embiid's knee was necessitated after an incident during a game against the Golden State Warriors, where he sustained an injury due to contact with an opposing player. The 76ers organization has been cautious in managing Embiid's workload and ensuring his long-term health and performance.
