Joel Embiid started Game 4 by bulldozing a cameraman and courtside waiter

Joel Embiid is a large human being.

He’s 7-foot-2. He’s listed at 250 pounds. The last thing a cameraman wants to see is all 250-plus pounds of Joel Embiid barreling down on him.

It won’t make for a pleasant experience.

Early in Sunday’s Game 4 between the Raptors and Sixers in Philadelphia, Embiid was chasing down Pascal Siakam from behind and lost his balance as he went heading towards the front row. As this was going on, a waiter was taking an order from some fans seated courtside and had his back turned to the play.

The result was Embiid running over two people on a single play — the waiter didn’t see it coming at all.

OUCH.

Fortunately, all involved seemed to be OK. The ESPN broadcast checked in on the cameraman who just got himself recollected and continued on with his job.

The waiter, who took the worst of Embiid’s collision, also appeared to be fine.
